The vision for Sturgis Business Magazine was first conceived in 2012 as an idea rooted in purpose: to create a comprehensive resource designed to empower leaders through knowledge, inspiration, and opportunities for both personal and professional growth. That vision came to fruition in 2023, shaped by years of experience, reflection, and intentional design.

From an early age, I was deeply influenced by the presence of books, magazines, and jazz—elements that filled my environment with curiosity, creativity, and inspiration. These materials were more than background décor; they represented possibility. During my high school years, O, The Oprah Magazine was especially impactful, serving as a source of motivation and insight that planted the seed for my aspiration to one day create something meaningful for leaders.

However, my vision extended beyond the traditional concept of a single-focus magazine. I envisioned a dynamic, all-inclusive platform—a “one-stop shop” for leaders—similar to the experience of visiting a Sheetz while traveling, where convenience, variety, and value seamlessly converge. By blending the inspirational excellence exemplified by Oprah with the accessibility and versatility of a multi-purpose resource, Sturgis Business Magazine was born.

This publication represents more than content; it represents a movement. As this story—HERstory—continues to unfold, it stands as a testament to intentional leadership, innovation, and service.
